Warranty Information

SK Magic Retails Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. ("SK Magic") guarantees that its products are free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use for the specified warranty period ("Warranty Period"). The warranty period starts from the date of product installation or delivery, whichever applicable. This warranty applies to products purchased or rented from SK Magic in Malaysia.

What is Covered by the Warranty

SK Magic’s warranty covers the following issues that arise during the Warranty Period:

Faults that occur due to improper installation or servicing by authorized personnel, unless stated otherwise.

Failures of key components including motors, filters, compressors, or other critical parts necessary for product operations.
Workmanship defects* : any consequential damage, either directly or indirectly, shall be excluded from warranty and warranty services.

Water Filter (Magic Plus) : Outright

Outright : 14 days from date of purchase
Scope of Warranty : Product Replacement

  1. Customer-Induced Damage : Damage caused by mishandling, neglect, misuse, or accidents such as drops, spills, or exposure to water or heat where not specified as water-resistant or heat-resistant.
  2. Pest or Animal Damage : Damage caused by pets, including but not limited to, such as chewing, scratching, or contamination from fur or saliva. Damage resulting from rodents, including gnawing on cables, parts, or other components. Damage due to insects or other pests that infest or cause damage to the product including contamination or destruction of internal components.
  3. Cosmetic Damage : Scratches, dents, or other non-functional aesthetic damage that does not impact the product’s operation, functionality or performance.
  4. Environmental Damage : Damage caused by power surges, fire, lightning strikes, floods, or other environmental events.
  5. Act of Theft or Vandalism : Loss or damage resulting from theft is not covered under the warranty. Vandalism, intentional damage or destruction of the product caused by malicious acts is excluded from warranty coverage.
  6. Exclusion of Incidental and Consequential Damage : SK Magic shall not be liable for any incidental, indirect, or consequential damages, including but not limited to:
    6.1 Loss of income or revenue.
    6.2 Loss of business or anticipated savings.
    6.3 Downtime, loss of use, or inconvenience.
    6.4 Damage to property other than the product itself.
    6.5 Costs of shipping, removal, or reinstallation of the product (unless specifically covered under the warranty terms).
  7. Unauthorized Repairs or Modifications : Any repairs, alterations or modifications made by individuals or service centres not authorized by SK Magic will void the warranty.
  8. Use of Non-Genuine Parts, Filters or Accessories : Damage resulting from the use of filters that are not manufactured or approved by the SK Magic. This includes filters that are incompatible or do not meet the SK Magic's specifications. Damage or issues arising from accessories that are not authorized or recommended by SK Magic, which may affect the functionality or safety of the product.
  9. Force Majeure : Force majeure is a natural event occurred beyond the reasonable control of the SK Magic which shall include but not limited to Acts of God, natural disasters (including but not limited to landslides, flood, flash flood, fire and storm), Environmental Damage, war, strikes, government restrictions, national and international sanctions, or other external disruptions.

Warranty Claim Process

To file a warranty claim with SK Magic, customers must follow these steps:

  1. Contact Customer Careline or authorized personnel.
  2. Provide a brief description of the defect and any relevant photos/videos.
  3. Allow SK Magic to perform an inspection to confirm the defect.
  4. If covered, SK Magic will provide repair or replacement at no cost.
  5. Depending on the nature of the defect, repair or replacement process will be taken:
    5.1 On-Site Repairs: If the defect can be repaired at your location, SK Magic will resolve the issue on the same day.
    5.2 In-House Repairs:
    5.2.1 If the repair can be completed within 3 days, no loan unit will be provided.
    5.2.2 For repairs that take between 3 to 15 days, SK Magic will provide a loan unit during the repair period, subject to signing an acknowledgment form.

Important Notes:

  1. Claim must be reported within 14 business days of defect discovery.
  2. Warranty services are suspended if rental payments are overdue.
  3. If the product is deemed irreparable, a replacement product will be provided, in line with SK Magic’s Product Exchange Policy.

Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for using the product in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. Neglect or improper use may void the warranty. Regular maintenance and cleaning as instructed by SK Magic should be adhered to by the Customer to ensure product longevity and warranty validity.

Amendments and Information Updates

SK Magic reserves the right to change, modify, or update this warranty information at any time. This may include changes in service coverage, product terms, or spare parts availability to reflect updates in law, technology, or business practices. These updates may occur with or without prior notice to customers. All policy updates will be communicated via SK Magic official website.

General Terms and Conditions

  1. For the avoidance of doubt, this warranty shall only apply to the original purchaser or rental Customer of the Product, or the subscriber of the Magic Care Service Package in relation to the Product, as applicable. This Warranty is non-transferable and does not extend to any subsequent owners or users of the Product.
  2. SK Magic reserves the right to void any customer warranty upon verification of use of non-genuine parts in a product, within 7 calendar days from date of report. If no decision is made in this timeframe, the warranty will remain valid. Customers will be notified promptly if the warranty is voided due to non-genuine parts.
  3. No reseller, agent, or employee of the Company is authorized to make any modifications, extensions, or additions to this warranty unless such changes are officially published on the official website: www.skmagic.com.my. Any unauthorized statements or guarantees outside of this official warranty policy will not be recognized.
  4. If any terms of this warranty are declared void or unenforceable by applicable law, such terms shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary. They will be replaced with valid terms that best reflect the original intent, allowing the remainder of the warranty to remain in full force and effect.
  5. The warranty is only valid in Malaysia. Products purchased or rented in Malaysia are covered by this warranty, and services will only be provided within Malaysia.
